Week of Valentine & Goals

Valentines
This week brings Valentine's day. So to celebrate, Tamara's church youth group decided to invite me along with Tamara's sisters' boyfriend Tim for a little Q&A on relationships. Here's the list:

  1. How did you meet?
  2. What attracted you to each other?
  3. What characteristics do you look for in a person of the opposite gender?
  4. What factors did you consider before starting to date?
  5. What are your views on dating?
  6. What role did your friends & family play in your friendship? Is it important to have their approval?
  7. What do you see as important factors in developing a healthy relationship?
  8. What advice would you give to a sibling about dating?
  9. How should Christian relationships differ from those who aren't believers?
  10. What boundaries are important in a dating relationship? What boundaries have you set?
  11. Describe a relationship you have observed after which you would like to model your relationships.
  12. What is one thing that your girlfriend / boyfriend doesn't know about you?

Number 5 is very generic. Quite a hard one to answer I think. As for number 11, I'm tempted just to say "Jesus, the groom, and the Church, the bride". I don't really have any relationship role models otherwise haha. Well those are the most amusing thoughts I have so far on those questions. I talked with Tamara a bit about them while we went for a walk this evening.

Goals
I have goals for this week, besides just sleeping normally. By the end of this week, I want to feel like I am on top of Calculus again. Usually I measure that by attempting to do every problem assigned to me thus far which I have neglected to solve. However, I'm going to have to come to terms with the fact that such an ambition is impossible for me to fulfil. I just have to get on top of the topics at hand, and if the concepts are derivative of previous concepts, then I will be forced to understand them anyways. Anyways, a word or two of prayer would be appreciated on that note.
