Spring

Today is an epitome of a spring day. The sun is softly shining, everything is basking in it's glow. I can actually smell a little bit of nature. In between the incessant. I've never seen myself as a person that especially finds great emotional joy in nature, but today I can honestly and regretfully admit that being outside made me happy.

Though I realized that it's not the sights, sounds and smells in and of themselves which made me happy. It's the vague memories they invoked which brought me back to my childhood, and drew back the sights, smells and sounds of spring and summer in Japan and other places. In any case, I must conclude that I'm more sappy now than I was when I was a teenager.

Well I didn't get enough sleep last night so I'm going to take a nap.
