Transit

Due to the rising cost of gas, and my recent fad of going frugal (which I hope lasts a long time), I started taking the bus to work instead of driving. This has worked out well because

  1. I don't have night classes anymore, so I don't threaten my bedtime with lously bus schedules
  2. Tamara has a class at TWU so she can be my bus companion!
I see myself saving 75% on transportation this way. I still have to drive to church, and I still drive to work when I have the night shift. But other than that, goodbye rising gas prices :).

In other news...

So my birthday is coming up soon. I was going to try to plan something extravagant, especially since this is my first birthday in my life outside of Japan. However, I figured it would be easier to just appoint Tamara the coordinator of my birthday party, so I don't have to worry about it.

The depressing thing is though that I don't foresee myself getting breakfast in bed this year as I have done since I became a double digit (10 years old). If indeed this family tradition is broken I will be very disappointed. I guess everything can't be happiness on one's birthday though. Oh well.
