Birthday

My Birthday has come and gone, and now I am 21. This was my first birthday outside of Japan. Not as epiphanous as I thought it would be, but enjoyable nonetheless. I got to have Brian, My roommate from 2nd year, come up from Washington. Also Jonny, Sarah (Tamara's sister), and Tamara were there. We had barbecue and jumped on the trampoline then swam in the pool for a while.

The pool started to cool down, so we tried pouring boiling water in it but it only comforted us for a few seconds at a time. Once we decided that the pool was colder than it was fun, Nathan showed up with his girlfriend Maya and friends Brent and Josh. I don't know Brent and Josh but I like meeting new people. I had asked Tamara to let everybody know they can invite whoever they want.

So we split in two two groups and we played munchkins while the others played another card game relating to bunnies. All in all it was a fun day.

7. Knapsack (I got an endowment for it but I still have to actually buy it for myself)

And that doesn't even count the burgers, ruffles all dressed ships and cheesecake Tamara got for me, let alone organizing the whole party. She's a gem.

Oh and Jonny made sure I got breakfast in bed. I was really worried I wouldn't get that, and actually very sad about the prospect. But he made sure it happened by getting Brian and Uncle Boyd involved. I'm glad I have a brother who values things like that.
